As of today, Zach Huston at the speedway is starting to assign seats and charge everyone's card. If you want a 100% guarantee your members will be seated with their club they should call in the next couple of days. He's going to leave some seats open next to each club for people that call in and ask to be added but the grandstand is down to just a couple hundred seats left so it's reasonable to assume this will sell out and sooner is better than later if you want to be part of this fun and historic part of the weekend.
Tickets are on sale for $170 for Novice, Intermediate and Advanced track time. The link is up on SportBike Track Time:

Hey y'all
I am sending this out so those of you who have been too busy to check the Caring Bridge site will know what is happening. I am going into the hospital Friday May 9 to start my stem cell transplant. I will be there for a minimum of a month and possibly eight weeks. I will post to the Caring Bridge site when I feel up to it. Based on past experience I do not think that will mean I will miss many days. If I cannot then Ann has access and will do so.
Thank you everyone for your wonderful notes of encouragement. I cannot possibly answer all of them but I do try. You can only imagine how great it is to have a large support group and I am glad I was forced to look at it and recognize it for the special part of my life it is.
Jim

US Desmo member Bill Park has met with Joe Crisalli, President of the Order of the Sons of Italy in Myrtle Beach. Joe is very enthusiastic about the prospects of adding the Italian Motorcycle Show to this years Italian Festival. We can have a large chunk of the parking lot at Broadway at the Beach, just behind the vendors and food court.
He is thinking about charging $25.00 per bike. For your $25 you would get a T-Shirt and maybe a pin or decal to record the event. Any money left over would go to a local charity. A couple of rides around the coastal Carolina for Saturday and Sunday could be organized. A dinner could be scheduled at one of the local Italian restaurants here in Myrtle Beach for Saturday night. A great deal of the tourists will have disappeared by September, making it a very good time to be at the beach.
If you would be interested in participating, please let Bill Park know at bpark@performancehydraulics.net.
